Celebrating Client Wins: Fountain Valley School Secures Largest Gift in School History

At the Heller Fundraising Group, we see our clients as true partners. That means when they score a big win, we want to celebrate right along with them.

Fountain Valley School, a private residential school in the mountains of Colorado, is in the midst of a capital campaign to mark their centennial anniversary in 2030 and lay the foundation for the next 100 years.

One year in, they’re rapidly outpacing their previous campaign, which raised $25 million.

They recently hit a major milestone with a transformational $10 million gift from W. Jerome “Jerry” Frautschi, an entrepreneur and philanthropist from the Class of 1949.

While Frautschi passed away in January, his commitment will leave a lasting legacy by providing endowment support for maintaining and renovating key campus spaces, recruiting and retaining exceptional faculty, and elevating the FVS experience.

His gift is a capstone to his deep, personal connection to the school that shaped him—a relationship that spans more than seven decades. It also comes after years of ongoing cultivation from Head of School Megan Harlan, who fostered the relationship from a distance through emails and occasional visits.

Congratulations to the team at Fountain Valley School on this major win!
